Visiting Our Libraries

The University Libraries at Florida State University welcome visitors and researchers. Any person may visit the libraries and use print materials, licensed databases, government documents, and the FSU Library Catalog on-site. Any FSU student, faculty, or staff with an active FSUCard can enter Strozier or Dirac at the turnstiles. Family members and friends need to stop at the Guest Services desk and obtain a Guest Card.

Visiting the Libraries as a Guest

Any person may visit the libraries and use print materials, licensed databases, government documents, and the FSU Library Catalog on-site.

Visitors are required to present an official state or university identification (e.g. driver’s license, university ID card, passport) to obtain a Guest Card before entering the Strozier and Dirac libraries. Guest cards only provide access to enter and exit the buildings. They cannot be used to loan materials. Please note that guest cards are given out between 7:30am-8pm EST.
