As a graduate student, you will conduct research throughout your career. You will be researching and writing papers in your courses; reading and synthesizing scholarship for your preliminary exams; and finally, researching and writing your thesis or dissertation. FSU Libraries can help you get access to the information sources you need to be successful.

Discover

OneSearch is just the beginning when it comes to discovering the latest scholarship in your field. When you need to extend beyond our local collections or deepen your engagement with the literature, consider the following:

  • Use OneSearch to discover the resources here at FSU Libraries, or to search the Statewide Catalog for materials available to you from other institutions in the State of Florida system.

Web of Science

To extend your search for journal articles, consider the multi-disciplinary Web of Science, a major database of articles and citations.

Worldcat

To extend your search for books, media, and archival materials beyond Florida, consider WorldCat, a catalog of catalogs spanning major libraries throughout the United States and beyond. You can request materials from other libraries via InterLibrary Loan.

Librarians are happy to meet with you one-on-one to support your research journey. Schedule a research consultation for help navigating research tools and databases, developing efficient and effective search strategies, and more.
