Library Grants
New Faculty Collection Development Grants
The University Libraries offer New Faculty Collection Development Grants to newly hired full-time tenure track faculty. These grants provide eligible faculty members with up to $1,000 to order books and media materials for our permanent collection.
Robert B. Bradley Library Research Grants
Faculty are invited to apply for the annual Robert B. Bradley Library Research Grants supporting the research and creative endeavors of faculty while developing world-class collections.
Open Access Publishing Fund
The Open Access Publishing Fund supports publishing costs for eligible open access (OA) journals and books when no alternative funding is available, thereby fostering the exploration of new and innovative publishing models.

Find Resources
FSU Libraries offer many ways to get access to the material for your research needs. As faculty, you can make use of the Library Express Delivery Service (LEDS) to have print materials or scans delivered right to your department. Once you register for LEDS and are approved, you may begin using the service.
OneSearch
OneSearch is the Libraries' all-in-one platform to search across our all available resources. You can access it from the home page or go directly to the advanced search.
UBorrow
Uborrow expands your search to books at the state universities across Florida, which are delivered to FSU. Learn more about UBorrow or Search UBorrow.
Interlibrary Loan
Interlibrary Loan (ILL) expands your search even further. Create an ILL account and begin searching on ILL, or learn more about Interlibrary Loan.
A-Z Databases
If you want to narrow down your search before you begin, you can search only within a specific database. The A-Z Database list organizes over 750 databases by subject and type.
Special Collections
Special Collections & Archives comprises more than half a million items, ranging from ostraka, papyri, and incunabula to modern artist books, literary manuscripts, and business records.
Government Information
Located in Strozier's basement, our Government Information collection includes more than 500,000 books, journals, maps, CDs, DVDs and reproductions on microfiche and microfilm.
Purchasing Materials
If all else fails and you simply can't get access to a resource you need for your research, let us know! We may be able to purchase the item for our collection so that you may use it. Please fill out the Materials Purchase Suggestion form, and a member of the Libraries' team will reach out.
Research Data Services
Data Librarians can help you with, finding and using research data, data visualization techniques, and research data management planning. For more information regarding any of these services, please email our data librarians (lib-stem@fsu.edu).
Data Visualization and Analysis
Creating visual data outputs, including charts and graphs, that make impactful statements and tell powerful stories. Performing statistical & data analysis techniques. Support programs including: Excel, MATLAB, SPSS, and SAS.
Research Data Management
Creating and implementing data management plans, applying best practices for managing data, and finding data management services at any stage of the research process. More information may be found at our Data Management Research Guide.
GIS and Spatial Data
Using GIS tools to create maps and perform spatial data analysis. Support programs including: QGIS, GoogleEarth, and ArcGIS. Finding and evaluating spatial data for research application.

Florida State Open Publishing provides publishing services for journals, monographs, open educational resources, and digital scholarship projects.
Open Scholars Project
The Open Scholars Project (OSP) is a community of practice for researchers and practitioners who are curious about open access publishing, open science, and FAIR data at Florida State University and in the Tallahassee area. OSP includes faculty, graduate students, postdocs and practitioners. The goal of this community is to connect researchers and scholars from all disciplines and provide a supportive space to learn from each other, engage in candid discussions, and apply open principles to research practices.
DigiNole Research Repository
The DigiNole Research Repository provides open access to thousands of research outputs like thesis and dissertations from our students and faculty.
Digital Transformation

Teaching Support
Embedding Materials into Canvas
The FSU Libraries and Canvas Integration helps faculty and instructors integrate library resources and services into Canvas courses. Use the tools provided to search for materials, request eReserves, access our research services, and import library modules, videos, and tutorials from Canvas Commons into your course.
Open Educational Resources
Open Educational Resources (OER) are materials that were created to be free to use. This can save your students hundreds of dollars each compared to traditional texts. Learn more with the Libraries' guide to Open Educational Resources.
Course Reserves
Course-related materials can be placed on Reserve for students to use in the library for short periods of time (2 hours for books/microfilm; 4 hours for DVDs/media). To place a physical book on Reserve, fill out the Course Reserve Request Form.
eTextbooks
In order to support student success and equitable access to information, FSU Libraries identifies titles currently available as eBooks and assigned as textbooks and course materials. Simply search by book title or course code.

Librarians can collaborate with you to design and facilitate instruction sessions or workshops to introduce learners to the major research methods and tools used in specific disciplines
